UpGarden, located on the rooftop of the Mercer Street Garage, has undergone an extensive renovation as a result of the reconstruction of the garage structure in 2020-2021. We were very fortunate to have received a Neighborhood Matching Funds Grant from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods in November 2020 to restore and rebuild our site. And with the amazing community volunteers joining our work parties, we were able to manage our grant funds to make much-needed infrastructure improvements and install shade and seating for our gardeners and neighborhood guest.
Get outside – join us in tending our gardens, common beds, and lawns at our work parties.
Our work parties are generally held on weekends between the hours of 10am and 3pm, weather dependent. Check our calendar below for more details.
